It enables smoke tests and pressure drop tests, helping to quickly detect leaks in intake or exhaust systems. The built-in pump generates up to 20 psi, and the smoke output of 6–8 l/min allows for efficient diagnostics of various vehicle systems.
The device supports Turbo high-pressure mode and EVAP low-pressure mode. EVAP operates at a pressure of 0.44–0.5 psi (30–35 mbar), while the built-in HP pump reaches a maximum of 20 psi (138 kPa). The system allows you to select either Professional Mode, with preset configurations for common systems, or Custom Mode, which lets you manually set the test pressure.
The L8000 model enables the performance of a smoke test, which is used to locate leaks by filling the system under test with pressurized smoke. The device also supports pressure drop testing. Key parameters are displayed on the device’s screen, and the user can adjust the test duration and pressure value.
The L8000 model is equipped with a control panel featuring a 4-inch color LCD screen and several function buttons. This makes it very simple and convenient to use. The manufacturer has also included a self-test function to check the device’s own airtightness. Additionally, a settings menu is available to change the language, select pressure units, and configure the audible alert.
The detector can be used to detect leaks in the intake and exhaust systems, vacuum systems, turbochargers, hoses, and gaskets, as well as to diagnose leaks under the dashboard or in the EVAP system. Additionally, the L8000 model is compatible with a wide variety of vehicles, such as passenger cars, trucks, and more. Note: Available applications vary depending on the vehicle type.
The package includes adapters and accessories to facilitate work with various types of systems. The set includes, among other things, a full set of plugs, an exhaust cone, an intake bladder, and a tool for removing the Schrader valve from the evaporative system. You’ll also find 150 ml of smoke fluid included. This allows you to quickly prepare the device for use with many types of systems and lines.
